The Jeromy Brown Family Fund 2024 Impact
Since inception, the Jeromy Brown Family Fund (JBFF) has donated $127,200 back into the Fargo Moorhead (FM) community. In 2024, we donated the largest annual amount to the community yet, proudly announcing a contribution total of $33,000. We are grateful to our donors for their support, which has allowed us to make a significant impact in our community. We are excited to share who your donations have impacted this year, and we could not have done it without your generosity and hope you consider us again in 2025.
Hope Lutheran
In February, the first donation of 2024 was granted to Hope Lutheran's Night to Shine event. This event is a global celebration that honors individuals with special needs by providing them with a prom-like experience. Our fund donated $5,000 in order to assist with the expenses related to hosting the event. Night to Shine is organized by the Tim Tebow Foundation and has now reached over 100,000 individuals with special needs worldwide. The event is focused on spreading God's love and recognizing the worth and dignity of people with disabilities. Our cousin, Jeromy Brown, is a guest and looks forward to this annual event.
AMBUCS
The JBFF successfully provided funding for three Amtrykes to be donated to the Fargo Moorhead community this year. AMBUCS chapters nationwide work diligently to raise funds in order to provide Amtrykes to individuals who are unable to ride traditional bikes. The mission of Red River AMBUCS is to inspire mobility and independence in the Red River Valley by collaborating with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists to offer Amtryke Adaptive Trykes to individuals with disabilities, as well as scholarships for therapists.
Anne Carlsen
We are thrilled to announce that the JBFF made another donation to the Anne Carlsen Center this year. Our foundation was able to contribute $5,700 towards sensory therapy equipment, which will help children achieve their therapy goals and increase their level of independence.
Farm in the Dell of the Red River Valley
The JBFF proudly announced their largest donation yet to Farm in the Dell of the Red River Valley, totaling $15,000. This contribution will support special projects and much-needed equipment for the organization. The mission of Farm in the Dell is to empower individuals with disabilities by helping them transform their limitations into abilities through purposeful work, a supportive community, and life experiences on the farm. The Garden Engineers, who are employees with disabilities, have the opportunity to lead a fulfilling life that is joyful, productive, and meaningful. Since its establishment in 2012, Farm in the Dell has been dedicated to providing employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities in a picturesque farm and garden setting. Through their programs, they not only teach valuable life skills but also offer job opportunities that instill a sense of accomplishment and belonging in their employees.
House of Everyday Living
The Jeromy Brown Family Fund donated $1,000 to the House of Everyday Living, a community-based non-profit organization dedicated to serving individuals in the FM area. This donation helped support children at Beyond Boundaries to buy adaptive equipment, for specialized feeding and other essential needs.
Alpha Opportunities
Lastly, the JBFF donated $4,000 to Alpha Opportunities, a non-profit organization providing person-centered services to people with disabilities by empowering lives through advocacy, opportunities, and independence. The JBFF provided this donation for a residential home to purchase a stair lift in order to make the home accessible for a young adult wheelchair user who would otherwise be unable to live with peers her own age.
As we strive to expand our reach, we are committed to continuing to make a positive impact in the lives of those around us. We continue to stand strong in our vision of building communities that celebrate all abilities in a manner that honors our cousins and bestows a legacy of Jeromy Brown.
Our fund wouldn’t be possible without your continued support through Giving Hearts Day and our Annual Charity Bowling tournament. We hope you consider us again in 2025.
Thank you,
